Triboc - bio

Then, Julius Caesar shouted out: « Ma, who the heck are those? » « It's Triboc » answered Manus Diolivus.

Triboc is about that rough rock music that emerges from a disillusioned and timeless anger one shouts in the face of the world to relieve oneself, without much hope. Fighting armies of legionaries once upon a time, vampires in costume today.

Triboc, is about the blues of the hang-over days, spent grumbling about the vanity of the daily life of a chaotic society. And Triboc is also the light melody of a moment of unexpected and delightful moment of happiness that one wishes was eternal.

Triboc are three guys, who have seen a lot, but aren't ready to step down yet. Three musicians based in Strasbourg, France who have scoured the stages of France and Germany in the 90s and 2000s, between funk, punk rock, and cross-over (Green Jaw Cathy, Les écorchés, Black Sun). In 2018, as the sacred fire was seemingly dying, the mischievous hazards of life blew on the embers willfully. The chemistry between the three musicians quickly revealed itself on stage in memorable concerts. And the fire is stronger than ever!

With Olivier Friker (guitar/lead vocals), Emmanuel Milloux (bass/b. vocals), Olivier Kauffmann (drums/b. vocals), the trio mixes the influences of the great classics of rock (Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, as well as Pearl Jam and The Police) with harmonies and resolutely modern sounds (Rival Sons, Queens of the Stone Age).

The lyrics chronicle the present times, the struggles to live, the moments of anger and of festive liberation.

On stage, Triboc meets the audience bluntly, with the obvious desire to share its music in the spirit of rock n'roll: without restraint and without cheating. And the band takes its passengers on board of this three-engined long-range plane to revisit the hotspots of rock, from Paris to Seattle, through London or New-York.

After a first album (Triboc in Stone, 2019) that caught covid, the band is now preparing the next opus to be release in. A more agressive side of rock, as they describe it. Can't wait to hear that !
